Antalya was founded in 159th B.C. Ataleja - the town was named in honor of its founder - Pergamum King Atal II. Antalya Kaleici Old Town is located at the cliff on the sea shore in a beautiful bay. Antalya have a lot of historical monuments, but the history of Antalya is the brightest jewel Yivli Fluted Minaret, or minaret in the center of the XIII century which was built by Sultan Alaedin Keikubad.
